Focus on LAW

Rob Pinson concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, tax law, alcoholic beverage law and privacy law.     

Before joining Bone McAllester Norton PLLC, Mr. Pinson was an associate at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP’s Louisville office.  He also practiced law for a year in Knoxville, Tennessee, prior to obtaining his LL.M. in Tax.    

Mr. Pinson received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Oberlin College.  Before attending law school, Mr. Pinson worked as a legal assistant in the Washington, D.C. office of Thompson, Hine & Flory, LLP.  Mr. Pinson earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2003, where he served as Student Materials Editor of the Tennessee Law Review.  While in law school, Mr. Pinson received the James R. & Nell W. Cunningham Excellence In Legal Writing Award and the Tennessee Law Review Second Year Prize.  In 2005, he received his Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law.

Mr. Pinson has authored numerous pieces and presented seminars on business and tax law in Tennessee and Kentucky.  He is also Editorial Consultant to MyBusiness, the magazine of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

Mr. Pinson has been an active member of his community, participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), and offering his services in pro bono formation of  charitable organizations.
