Stephen Zralek’s WaterCooler Networking Event Featured Alan Young, CEO of Armor Concepts LLC
The WaterCooler event was held Monday, July 12, 2010 from 5:30 to 7pm at Miro District. Hosted by Stephen Zralek of Bone McAllester Norton, Renata Soto of Conexión Américas and Wade Munday of National HealthCare for the Homeless Council, WaterCooler is an open invitation, informal networking group for young entrepreneurs.
WaterCooler presents the innovative and highly-successful COE of Armor Concepts, LLC, Alan Young, as our speaker Monday, July 12, at Miro District. Recently featured in the June 27th Tennessean (how timely of us), Alan will speak about the incredible highs and unmentionable lows of starting a business, becoming an entrepreneur, and defining success.
Alan came to Vanderbilt, where he graduated college in three years while playing football and earning all-conference honors. After graduating, he played pro-football, then came back to Vanderbilt and earned an MBA. He then started and sold his own financial planning firm for professional athletes, worked as an investment banker for eight years, and formed Armor Concepts with his brother. Alan's key product, "Door Jamb Armor," which helps secure residences and prevent break-ins, is sold in hundreds of Lowe's stores across the country.
We're also excited to announce that Wade Munday is joining us as a co-host of WaterCooler. Wade is moving back to Nashville to work for the National HealthCare for the Homeless Council, after spending a year in Boston as the Director of Education and Outreach at Children's Hospital Boston.
