Bone Law Criminal Defense Attorney Kee Bryant-McCormick Named as Nashville ATHENA Traditional Award Recipient

Presented by Nashville Cable, this award celebrates women who demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their profession, contribute to their community, and mentor other women. Among the 25 women in Nashville and Middle Tennessee recognized in the final round, Kee was selected as the sole honoree for the Traditional category.

Kee is a member of our Sumner County office and concentrates her practice in the areas of criminal defense and government investigations, estate planning, probate, wills and trusts, business and corporate law, and special education law.

Kee believes everyone deserves excellent legal service regardless of income or social status, and has dedicated her career to representing people from all backgrounds. She has proved herself to be a problem-solver in tough situations. Prior to joining Bone McAllester Norton, Kee ran her own private practice in Hendersonville, where she represented clients in civil litigation and criminal litigation. Her passion for helping people blossomed through her service as assistant public defender for the 18th Judicial District.

A true humanitarian, Kee also serves her community through a variety of roles for professional organizations and nonprofits. She is a certified arbitrator for the Nashville Better Business Bureau, is acting chairman of the board for the Shalom Zone and serves as trustee for Volunteer State Community College. She is a former president of the Hendersonville League of Women Voters and a past board member of the Rotary Club of Hendersonville. Kee was the first African American woman to be selected as planning commissioner for the City of Hendersonville and currently serves as vice chairman for the organization. One of her favorite service projects is coaching the mock trial team for Beech High School, where her students have finished in the top 10 at the state competition for several years.

Leventis earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston and his J.D. degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
