The Tennessean’s Gail Kerr Tours the Fontanel

News columnist for the Tennessean, Gail Kerr, recently toured Fontanel, the former home of country music legend Barbara Mandrell, and her piece on the sprawling campus is out today. Kerr writes that the property gives plenty to do for the entire family, saying it is a holiday break that will please everyone.

Guests to Fontanel can choose from tours of the 27,000-square-foot log mansion or the Southern Living Idea House, take in a show at the Woods Amphitheater, shop at the Goo Goo Outpost and the Stone House Gift Shop, tour Prichard’s Distillery, see Mandrell’s tour bus, ride zip lines, play disc golf, let the kids play in a zero gravity bounce house, walk/run/bike on two miles of greenways and trails, eat at the Italian restaurant and, starting in February, stay in the luxury hotel.

Fontanel is a client of Bone McAllester Norton.

Tennessean Columnist Features Three Bonelaw Clients in Round-Up of Local Favorites

The Tennessean’s news columnist Gail Kerr wrote an article in today’s paper about local places that residents of Nashville and Middle Tennessee often do not visit. In the round-up, three Bone McAllester Norton clients were highlighted: Fontanel, the former home of country star Barbara Mandrell; the Frist Center for Visual Arts and its “Sensuous Steel” exhibit; and Peg Leg Porker, the barbecue restaurant that recently opened in the Gulch.

Kerr has “a growing head-over heals crush on Peg Leg Porker, both because the barbecue is outstanding and because the owner, Carey Bringle, is so funny.”

Kerr noted that she has visited the Frist and Peg Leg Porker but has yet to make a trip to the Fontanel—something sure to be on the top of her list now that a 140-room Holiday Inn resort has been announced.
