Bone McAllester Norton Announces Civil Rights Law Practice Area

Bone McAllester Norton PLLC has formally added a civil rights law practice area to our wide range of legal services. In doing so, we hope to contribute to a stronger community and region by helping ensure equal rights for all.

This practice area builds upon decades of work in the civil rights realm, including founder Charles W. Bone’s involvement in the successful efforts to obtain clemency for Cyntoia Brown. Available services include employment discrimination, housing and land use discrimination, Title IX discrimination, law enforcement accountability and compliance guidance, and internal investigations.

Bone Law Criminal Defense Attorney Kee Bryant-McCormick Named as Nashville ATHENA Traditional Award Recipient

Kee Bryant McCormick Attorney at Bone McAllester Norton Professional indexBone McAllester Norton Criminal Defense Attorney Kee Bryant-McCormick was chosen as the recipient of the 2020 ATHENA Leadership Award. Presented by Nashville Cable, this award celebrates women who demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their profession, contribute to their community, and mentor other women. Among the 25 women in Nashville and Middle Tennessee recognized in the final round, Kee was selected as the sole honoree for the Traditional category.

Kee is a member of our Sumner County office and concentrates her practice in the areas of criminal defense and government investigations, estate planning, probate, wills and trusts, business and corporate law, and special education law.

Kee believes everyone deserves excellent legal service regardless of income or social status, and has dedicated her career to representing people from all backgrounds. She has proved herself to be a problem-solver in tough situations. Prior to joining Bone McAllester Norton, Kee ran her own private practice in Hendersonville, where she represented clients in civil litigation and criminal litigation. Her passion for helping people blossomed through her service as assistant public defender for the 18th Judicial District.

A true humanitarian, Kee also serves her community through a variety of roles for professional organizations and nonprofits. She is a certified arbitrator for the Nashville Better Business Bureau, is acting chairman of the board for the Shalom Zone and serves as trustee for Volunteer State Community College. She is a former president of the Hendersonville League of Women Voters and a past board member of the Rotary Club of Hendersonville. Kee was the first African American woman to be selected as planning commissioner for the City of Hendersonville and currently serves as vice chairman for the organization. One of her favorite service projects is coaching the mock trial team for Beech High School, where her students have finished in the top 10 at the state competition for several years.

On Feb. 21, Bone McAllester Norton attorney Kee Bryant-McCormick was honored by the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce during its annual “Women Impacting The Community” awards luncheon. Bryant-McCormick received the 2019 Professional Impact Award in recognition of her service to several local civic and charitable organizations.

A member of the firm’s Sumner County office, Bryant-McCormick concentrates her practice in the areas of civil and criminal litigation, estate planning, probate, conservatorships, wills and trusts, business and corporate law, and special education law. She serves many professional organizations and non-profits, including the Rotary Club, Shalom Zone, League of Women Voters of Tennessee and the City of Hendersonville, among others.

Kee Bryant-McCormick Selected to 2016 Class of Leadership Middle Tennessee

Congratulations to Bone McAllester Norton attorney Kee Bryant-McCormick, who has been selected for the newest class of Leadership Middle Tennessee. The 10-month program features 37 business, community and non-profit leaders from 10 counties in the Nashville area. It is operated through the Jennings A. Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University.

Bonelaw Founder, New Attorney Participate in NAACP Sumner County Freedom Fund Banquet

The Sumner County NAACP’s 45th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet was held Saturday, Oct. 11, and Bone McAllester Norton had a strong presence in the event. Founder and chairman Charles W. Bone served as the guest speaker and tailored his message to citizens joining together for justice and equality. The firm’s newest attorney, Kee Bryant-McCormick, served as the mistress of ceremonies.

NASHVILLE – Bone McAllester Norton PLLC announced today that Kee Bryant-McCormick has joined the firm.  She is a member of the firm’s Sumner County office.

Mrs. Bryant-McCormick will focus her practice in Business and Corporate Law; Criminal Defense and Government Investigations; Estate Planning; Probate Law; Wills and Trusts; and Special Education Law.

“Kee is very active in the Hendersonville community, and she’s a great asset to our team,” said Charles W. Bone, founder and chairman of Bone McAllester Norton.

Mrs. Bryant-McCormick is the current president of the Hendersonville League of Women Voters and is a board member of the Rotary Club of Hendersonville and the Shalom Zone.  She also serves as trustee for Volunteer State Community College. She was the first African-American female to be selected as Planning Commissioner for the City of Hendersonville.

Previously, Mrs. Bryant-McCormick practiced law in her own firm in Hendersonville, and earlier in her career, served as Assistant Public Defender for the 18th Judicial District.

She graduated in the Leadership Sumner Class of 2014, and she is a member of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Jack and Jill of America, Nashville Chapter, and the Autism Society for Middle Tennessee.
